At the beginning of 2017, I gave our staff and our church a vision phrase to set the tone for the year… “See It Through.” This phrase was inspired by the Apostle Paul:
Galatians 6:9 – “9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. “
Paul says that, in “doing good”, doing the work of God is actually tiresome, can make you feel weary, exhausted. Paul is implying it will actually take MORE of your energy to do good than it will when you do bad. Paul goes on to say: but hold fast, because you will (that’s a promise) receive a harvest, if you SEE IT THROUGH!
As I look back on 2017, I am overwhelmed with JOY because of you, Lifepointe. Your heart for Jesus, your passion to see people come to Christ, your willingness to STEP IN, and your acts of generosity through financial giving and serving is what made this another Banner Year for our church!
When God gave me this vision of FULL LIFE… helping people break past a religious mentality when it comes to relating to God and see church as a lifestyle, rather than a Sunday morning event… I wasn’t sure if anyone would be on board or what it would actually look like. Now I do!
I see full life in so many of you, by the way you have developed a real, authentic relationship with Jesus; by the way you live in freedom, not condemnation; by the way you trust Jesus in every area of your life. I see this vision of FULLY ALIVE becoming a reality. And, once the people of God get on fire for Jesus, there is no limit to what God can and will do!
I pray that you had a great Christmas, and I look forward to being back with you on Sunday, January 7th for our second to last services at Deerfield Drive!
On Sunday, January 7th we will be starting a new series called, “Dangerous Prayers”. With that, we will be also begin a church-wide 30 Days of Prayer and Fasting. What better way to start the year then by giving God the first and best of our days? Come on out January 7th to hear more!
Until then, on Sunday, December 31st, I invite you to enjoy our annual “Lifepointe at Home” experience! Below you will find a link to watch and discuss with your family and friends the number one, MOST VIEWED sermon of 2017, as well as the link to give your tithes and offerings. Your end-of-year financial gift is critical to keep Lifepointe moving forward into 2018 in a strong way! So, will you prayerfully consider giving one final time, right here online or through your online banking?
Thanks Lifepointe for helping me overcrowd heaven, put hell out of business, and make it impossible for people to not know Jesus in our city!
