Reopen Strategy Phase 1 | Lead Pastor, Nate Siemon

WATCH NOW ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL

We have a date!! Pastor Nate shares specifics about how and when we’re planning to reopen our physical campus, and what you can expect during each phase.

Reopening Has Begun!

When we say “Reopen” we don’t mean reopening Lifepointe Church! Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, Lifepointe Church never closed. The “church” is not a facility or an event. The Church is the PEOPLE… and our people have never stopped gathering, worshipping together and being on mission with Jesus. We just changed the HOW and when.

And now, the HOW and WHEN are changing again! Due to the lifting of regulations and recommendations in our area, we are SO excited to announce we have begun reopening our physical campus at 390 York Southern Road for larger gatherings. Find out more about specific plans and dates below!

Phase One = LifeGroup & Sunday Watch Parties

Phase Two = On-Campus Watch Parties

Phase Three = In-Person LIVE Experiences

As always, safety is a top priority at Lifepointe! We are committed to reopen in the most safe and effective manner. We want each family and individual to make the best decision possible for them. So, there is NO PRESSURE to resume attending our experiences physically right away. We are committed to continue reaching ALL people with the FULL LIFE message of Jesus every week through our digital platforms every week

COVID-19 may have changed the landscape of how we “do” church, but it has not changed the mission of Jesus to reach people far from God. The church is designed to “gather” and we thrive best when we are connected in relationships. So, although this will look different as we ease back into larger physical gatherings, our mission has not changed and our focus on being the church for “such a time as this” is stronger than ever!

Summer at Lifepointe

Phase One | LifeGroup & Sunday Watch Parties

Starting Sunday May 31, we will reopen LifeGroups for their regular weekly gatherings, as well as Sunday watch parties of our online services. This, of course, is NOT mandatory, and each LifeGroup and individual/family should make their own decisions as to whether or not they feel comfortable meeting in person.

Phase Two | On-Campus Watch Parties

On Sundays June 21, June 28 and July 5, we will be reopening our physical campus at 390 York Southern Road to offer On-Campus Watch Parties. This is an opportunity for people who call Lifepointe their church home to gather to watch the Live Stream of our online service and worship together in person. There will be NO DiscoveryPointe Kids Ministry or Student Ministry offered during these Watch Parties.

Watch Party experiences will be at 9am and 11am. Changing our services times for the summer will allow us the time needed to disperse those attending at 9am and clean all the areas in use prior to our 11am worship experience.

What Is A Watch Party?

Watch Parties are groups of people coming together to worship by watching our online services through Facebook and YouTube. Watch Parties are smaller groups that meet while honoring the regulations and recommendations of our local health and government officials.

LifeGroups and others are encouraged to consider doing this again in their homes beginning Sunday, May 31, in addition to, or in place of, their regular weekly meetings.

On-Campus Watch Parties will be offered for everyone at our physical campus beginning Sunday, June 21 at 9am & 11am. LifeGroups are invited to watch together on our campus at that time as well. Here are some key details for those gatherings:

  • DiscoveryPointe Kids Ministry will not be available during Watch Parties
  • When you arrive, please go straight into the auditorium and find a seat. Please help us avoid groups of people gathering in our lobby and other common areas.
  • Seating will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and limited to no more than 50% occupancy.
  • You may be asked to watch and worship with others in our GatheringPointe and DiscoveryPointe Theatre in an overflow situation.
  • We will offer limited in-person Try 5 and  Next Steps Areas. We will continue to offer these same experiences online as well.

Phase 3 | In-Person LIVE Experiences

We are prayerfully looking forward to resuming our LIVE, in-person worship experiences on Sunday, July 12, including LIVE worship, hosting, messaging, Next Steps Area and the return of our DiscoveryPointe Kids Ministry.

These experiences will continue to be limited to 50% occupancy, including DiscoveryPointe, and service times will remain at 9am & 11am through August 16.

During the summer, our Lifepointe Students are encouraged to join their families in the auditorium for our main worship experiences on Sunday mornings. Then, Middle Schoolers are invited to join us for Spark @ the Park (Walter Elisha Park in Fort Mill) at 2pm on Sunday afternoons, and High Schoolers are likewise invited to Movement @ the Park on Wednesday evenings.

For those not ready or unable to attend in person, our Sunday morning experience will still be filmed and streamed at 11am through our new Online Campus officially launching on July 12. Lifepointe Online will offer as much of the same experience as possible virtually each week, including Next Steps, Prayer, Kids Ministry, Student Ministry, etc. Look for more information to come on our Facebook page (facebook.com/lifepointecc).

Again, there is NO pressure! We encourage every individual and family to consider what is best during this time for you to continue gathering, connecting and worshiping with us every week! See all the ways to connect with us below.

FEAR NOT, STAND FIRM

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

As a church, we’ve been Standing Firm in four areas:

Standing Firm in Christ

Lifepointe has always been about people helping people experience FULL LIFE in Jesus. The church is not a building. The church is us… the people. Our community and nation have never needed us more than right now! So, have peace and take heart, because none of this is taking God by surprise. Jesus is still on the throne, and we will continue to stand firm in the God who is above all.

Standing Firm in Relationships

Although we are committed to being part of the solution by honoring our governments’ requests to distance socially, this is not a time for ISOLATION. We will continue gathering in small groups weekly, in person (as allowed) and virtually. We will continue to check in on each other frequently, and pray for each other daily.

Standing Firm in Generosity

2 Corinthians 9:11 – “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

Generosity is a very practical way you can partner with and support your church during this season. Your regular giving changes lives and empowers us to continue to share the hope of Jesus, especially in the midst of an uncertain and fearful world. We are asking everyone who calls this church home to continue generously giving, and to set up recurring and online giving if possible.

Standing Firm in Serving

Matthew 5:14/16 – “You are the light of the world…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

As a church we continue to offer practical ways to give back and serve our community through this time of need. “Stand Firm” is a call to action. It’s the grace and peace of God that gives us the power and courage to make a difference.
